Looking for a well-structured Rosé made from 100% organically grown grape for $20 or less? The 2020 Domaine Bousquet Gaia Rosé is just that, and is my Wine of the Week.
2020 marks the debut vintage of this wine from Domaine Bousquet, one of my absolute favorite wineries for affordable, delicious wines that offer terrific quality for the prices.
The wine takes its name from Gaia, ancient Greek goddess of the earth and an inspiration for the Bousquet family, who left their their native France to buy and plant in virgin land, in the remote high-altitude Andean foothills of Argentina. Today Domaine Bousquet is the leader in Argentina for organic wines, because they have farmed organically from the start.

The wine is made from 100% organically grown Pinot Noir grapes sourced from Domaine Bousquet’s estate vineyards in Tupungato in the Uco Valley in the Andean foothills of Argentina at 4,000 feet elevation.
It pours a pale pink color with strawberry, red cherry, watermelon, dried savory herbs, citrus and petrichor aromas. On the palate, it’s medium-bodied with vibrant, zesty acidity and just a hint of tannin with red cherry, strawberry, watermelon, lime zest, clementine and a hint of spice flavors with a very satisfying finish. 13.1% abv. |SRP – $20
It’s one of my favorite Rosé this summer, and definitely worth seeking out. Highly recommended!

One of the most notable Pinot Noir I’ve tasted happens to be from Tupungato. Hoping I can find this Bousquet rosé here!
