This is an alluring, suave, and harmonious wine that is emblematic of outstanding wines being crafted in the Lodi AVA
This wine is a predominately a blend of Syrah and Viognier from the Borra Vineyards Gill Creek Ranch that were picked on the same day and co-fermented in the Northern Rhône tradition. Old vine Carignan and Petite Sirah from the Borra Vineyards Church Block adds aromatic complexity, and tannin structure respectively.
Color – Violet
Aromas – An intriguing and complex blackberry, plum, black cherry, a hint of blueberry, smoked meat, damp earth, pink peppercorns, mushrooms, violets and dried herb aromas
Body – Full-bodied and well-balanced with refreshing acidity, and well-integrated present, but suave tannins
Taste – Mouth-filling blackberry, plum, sour cherry, black raspberry, and spice flavors
Finish – Long satisfying finish.

Pair with: According to winemaker Niggli “Makes me want lamb grilled with rosemary, olive oil, and sea salt; or just home-ground burgers or spaghetti Bolognese”.
